TRIBAL OPIOID RESPONSE - TOR

Support from the Tribal Opioid Response (TOR) grant, the Delaware Tribe can expand its capacity to address the opioid crisis in Native communities. The grant provides vital funding for prevention, treatment and recovery services related to opioid and stimulant use.

Through PSS and TOR-funded initiatives, the Delaware Tribe works to reduce the stigma surrounding substance use, increase access to care, and create safe, supportive spaces for healing. Youth engagement, family involvement, and intergenerational cultural connection are key elements of the program’s success. These efforts not only address the immediate impacts of addiction but also foster long-term healing and strengthen the overall health of the Delaware Tribal Community.

PREVENTION PROGRAM

Working hand in hand with the Tribal Opioid Response to get our tribal members the help they seek to make a better life not only for themselves but their family.

The program provides education, resources, and culturally meaningful activities to help prevent opioid and substance misuse within our Tribal community.

After the intake process is initiated and a plan put into place for the applicant it is up to the Prevention Program to take them to the proper facility for treatment.

The Prevention Program also operates the Talking Circle on a weekly basis on campus in Bartlesville.
“Together, we protect our people, honor our culture, and support future generations.”
